Everything else in the audio category either covers an ear or costs real money. The EDX Ultra is the fallback: a single 10mm dynamic driver, a detachable cable with a proper 0.75mm two-pin connector, and an impedance low enough at 26Ω that it drives from a laptop or phone with no amplifier. The detachable cable is the part that matters over years — it is the failure point on cheap IEMs, and here it is a two-cent spare rather than a replacement unit.
The in-ear I reach for when I do not want to wear a headset — short listening sessions and calls where the over-ear cups get hot.
It is a V-shaped, bass-forward tune with treble peaks that people either love or EQ away, and it is not a reference in any sense. Isolation is good for the money but nowhere near a proper IEM. Being wired, it adds to cable clutter at the desk.
